Aquaculture continues to be a globally growing industry, currently supplying approximately half of the world’s seafood. With the increasing human population and worldwide depletion of wild fish stocks, the demand for a continual supply of seafood will only put more pressure on aquaculture. The future sustainability of aquaculture requires understanding and management of the industries ecological impacts and socio economic aspects on a local and global scale.
